This portion of the workshop will cover the following categories:

  1. Styles of Expressions 
  2. ASL Storytelling

Educational Objectives:

This WWorkshop will teach techniques to:

  • Develop a basic understanding of ASL linguistics in layperson terms
  • Develop lexical equivalents to Sign items
  • Become aware of idiomatic English usage.

The mandatory activities will ask for you answer some multiple choice questions, and to watch some stories signed in ASL and apply what you've learned by doing some light ASL to English work, both voiced (no voice recorder needed) and written.

This workshop is presented in ASL.
